A Level Scholarships

The academic scholarship criteria for O’ Level (LEARNING ALLIANCE) students going into A-I are as follows:

  • 8 A’s – 100 %
  • 7 A’s – 50 %
  • 6 A’s – 25 %

The academic scholarship criteria for O’ Level (New Admission) students going into A-I are as follows:

  • 8 A’s – 75 %
  • 7 A’s – 50 %
  • 6 A’s -25 %

Students who are awarded Scholarships in A-I must pay the original fee which will be adjusted in the next fee bill to accommodate the Scholarship awarded.

The Academic Scholarship criteria for A-I students going into A-II are as follows:

  • 4 A’s – 75 %
  • 3 A’s – 50 %
  • 2 A’s – 25 %

At LEARNING ALLIANCE we believe in our students to consistently strive for excellence. Therefore, all A-I students have the opportunity to compete for the academic scholarship when going into A-II regardless of their scholarship status in A-I. The scholarship awarded in A-II is based on student performance in the Final Examinations.

Students are issued the August – September fee bill based on the Internal Final Examination performance, this bill may reviewed in August once the AS Level CAIE result has been published. If the scholarship status has changed, arrears will be deducted in the next billing term.

Abdul Salam Mehta (ASM) Scholarship

Students who are awarded the Abdul Salam Mehta (ASM) Scholarship must maintain their attendance, discipline and an average ‘B’ grade, in a minimum of three subjects, in the A-I Final Examinations. In the event that the scholarship is withdrawn from the student it will not be awarded to another student.

Co-curricular Scholarships

Other than academic scholarships, LEARNING ALLIANCE also awards co-curricular scholarships for Debates and Sports. Co- curricular scholarships are not awarded automatically; students must apply for co-curricular scholarships by filling out the Scholarship Form, at the time of registration, in order to be considered. Co-curricular Scholarships are awarded by the School Board and at the discretion of the panel reviewing the students’ application.

The School Board shall evaluate all scholarship applications and allot them to deserving students. The School Board reviews attendance, discipline and academic history when allotting these scholarships.
